New Election: 2002 Louisiana Senatorial Open Primary Election Results
   
   

The Republicans only accomplished half of their plan for Landrieu in 2002. They dragged her into a runoff.

We should recall this election with reference to 2008.  Landrieu has after all demonstrated her strength in winning two runoff elections in Louisiana.  Of course 2008 will be different, but still her approval ratings are not bad and she has experience.
