Were we stupid to soundly reject Mark Kennedy over what you termed a "divorce attorney" (even though she was nothing like that at all)?

What self-respecting person would vote for Norm Coleman? Galloway made him look a right idiot. I was most displeased Sad. I wanted Galloway tearing apart limb by limb

Dave

What?  Did George Galloway debate Norm Coleman or something?

Galloway was questioned by Coleman as part of the Oil For Food investigation and Galloway pretty much kicked his ass.

Heck, Coleman, unlike Carl Levin, couldn't even get the better of that arch-Saddamite George Galloway Roll Eyes when he appeared before the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.

Minnesota can do a lot better than Coleman

Dave

Its not so much that than it was that Levin was in a much better possition to take on Galloway, as Galloway's attitude was that the people on the panel were all just dumb Americans, to whom he was clearly superior, and he was gracing us by even being present amoungst the American warmongerers.  Levin really took him to the woodshed... one of the few things that Levin has done in his career which I truely applaud.

That Levin did Smiley, which is more than can be said for Coleman. Still, at least, the better man is now Chairman of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations

BTW, your take on Galloway is spot on. The man personifies self-agrandizement and I, for one, don't suffer that sort

That said, he's just a rather ridiculous fellow best known to the non-politico types for impersonating a cat on Celebrity Big Brother. The word cringeworthy don't come into it

The sooner, and harder, George Galloway falls the better. Medieval torture methods wouldn't be wasted on him
