Face it, Kerry has more brains than to select the shrew.

Kerry feared for his life if he won with her as VP.  Assassination 2 years and 1 day into his administration, baby.

Is there any evidence whatsoever that Kerry considered Hillary for even a minute?  It seems to me like a totally fabrication from obsessed conservatives.

Yeah right, this was just a Republican dream. Just like McCain was a Democrat dream.

I didn't think he would ever pick her, not really anyway.

She wasn't picked because she wouldn't help Kerry become President (i.e., she wasn't going to contribute to a win in OH, PA, WS, IA, WV).

One of Kerry's strong attributes is his dogged determination and cold ambition. I don't believe he has any warm feelings or much respect for Edwards, but he calculated that he would give the ticket the best shot.

another question to ask: is there any evidence whatsoever she has any presidential ambitions and wants to run in the future? This rumor was being spread by Limbaugh and Co. back in 2000, and it's been talked about so much now that even liberals have become to believe it. While I wouldn't be suprised if she runs, I hardly think it's guaranteed to happen. And if she did run, the only case in which I'd support her is if everyone else running was worse.

I never thought Kerry would select Madame Clinton because she doesn't bring him support that he doesn't already have.

Her strongest support comes from the lunatic fringe of the party, and she would be a detriment with swing voters.  She's from New York, which is a major liability in any case, but even worse when the top of the ticket is from Massachusetts.  A Massachusetts-New York ticket would get murdered across large sections of the south, midwest and southwest.

Nobody who would even consider voting for Bush likes Hillary, and those are the voters that Kerry needs to attract.

She has less political experience than Edwards. Sure she was First Lady for 8 years but that isn't really experience, that was photo op.
