Here on the fantasy elections board, we the citizens of the forum have created a government established in the Constitution of the United Atlas Forum.  Our government consists of an executive branch, a legislative branch, and a judicial branch just like the U.S. Government.

The executive branch is made up of the President, the Vice President, and the various cabinet members.  For more information on the makeup and duties of the executive branch of the government, click here.

The legislative branch is made up of one body, the senate.  The senate consists of ten members, each elected from one of five districts encompassing all the states in the United States.  Each district elects two senators.  To see a map of the districts, click here.  For more information on the duties of the senate, click here.  For a list of bills that have been signed into law, click here

The judicial branch consists solely of the Forum Supreme Court.  The court is made up of three members who convene to decide the constitutionality of forum legislation and to settle electoral disputes.  For more information on the duties of the Supreme Court, click here.

In addition to the federal government, the fantasy government consists of five governors and their deputies.  The governors are elected from regions, which are static regardless of voter registration.  Each region has its own consitution.  For a map of the regions, click here.

Here is a list of Atlas Forum Office Holders.

For a list of registered voters, please visit the Office of the Secretary of Forum Affairs

For links to each region's constitutions, click here.

Fantasy politics are dominated by five major parties:  the UAC (or United Atlas Centrist Party), the AFRNC (or Atlas Forum Republican Party), the AFIP (or Atlas Forum Independence Party), the AFDNC (or Atlas Forum Democratic Party and the UL (or United Left Party).  In addition, there are a number of smaller parties that play a role in forum politics.  Use the links below to reach each of the parties' websites and forums.

There should be a page somewhere that has a job description of all the cabinet jobs.  I know my job, I know what the SOFA does, I know what the Sec. of State does, but I don't know what job Treasury or Labor is supposed to do.

Not a bad suggestion, does anyone feel they are well enough versed in Fantasy politics to write one?

OK, I merged those topics and deleted some comments, with emphasis on those that were in between the topics...to makeit easier for people to get the info directly.

Well, you people, including an SCJ, tricked me into violating the law! Wink

StevenNick's post actually links to KEmperor's...or did before I merged the fricking threads! Tongue

I will have to ask StevenNick to relink it...I've split them up so there's a region map thingy and an office holder thingy. I will sticky them for now.

Well, then why is the MDP still on the list?  It never did have more than one member (plus some potential interest from others) and has been in total abeyance since I became GM.  Even when I return to normal politics, I am liklier to see if I can fit in with one of the established parties or revamp the MDP and give it a name and focus that will attract others more than the old MDP did than just simply returning to ot as is.

If that's the case why is the MDP on the list?

In all honesty, I don't think it should be.  I would recommend taking it off.

Is geocities.com/demrepdan down or something? My browser shows the 404 error page when I visited it.

What exactly does the fantasy government do in reality?  Does it control the forum in any way?
