Let's see. We've got millions of such people in our country who have risked everything to come to America, work hard, and try and get ahead. These are exactly the sort of people we need in America, and we ought to encourage more of them to come.

Work and student visas are too open for abuse.

So are Visa's for marriages, family members, et al.  Instead of getting rid of the Visa's, higher more DOL personnel and simplify their paperwork so people who are here legally don't end up losing their legal status since it took the DOL 3 years to process their green card applications (for starters).
