Hi Dave,

I was just wondering. Can we expect primary results from before 2000 to be on the site at some stage in the future?

Yeah, that would be great!

Could you also have 1996 R, 1992 D, and 1988 D?

That information may be hard to obtain.

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/

If you click on "Primary Explainer" on the left side, it will pop up a map, in which you can click on each state, and then get results for the primaries from 1996, 1992, and 1988, as well as 2000.

Thanks. Good with helpful links three days before election day...

Primary results of past elections are a lower-priority for me to tabulate and add to the site... the primary election processes are complex, differ for each party, change from year-to-year, and many state contests were not competitive (and uninteresting).  If someone has an interest in working to tablulate the data, I would be glad to host the information.  I prefer to continue working on the 2004 primary results, the general election candidate coverage, and older general election results - as well as continued site improvements and features.

I suppose you could put on your site the 1988, 1992, and 1996 primary results from the CNN site.
