Maybe I'm just overly sensitive to this stuff, but doesn't this look like, ummmm.... too much touching?

yeah that is odd. I'm sitting here, watching the news and they had a clip of Kerry saying that People magazine named Edwards the sexiest man in politics. So tell me again what does that have to do with the campaign? Oh yeah...Kerry even made a comment about him and Edwards having better hair than Bush and Cheney. Sorry but having good hair and being the named People magazine's sexiest man in politics doesn't give someone the credentials needed if they ever have to take over the Presidency.

This is America in 2004, if the guy looks good on TV they're "qualified"

Anyway according to the Constitution there are only a few requirements in order to be qualified for President.  Both men discussed in this thread are qualified.

They are legally qualified to run but good hair doesn't make a good President. It really is sad that good looks suddenly make candidates qualified in the eyes of SOME voters.

Then the discussion should be about who will be the better (vice-)President not who is qualified.  I agree that it is sad that good looks suddenly make a candidate qualified, but it does explain a lot.

I'm not saying anyhing definitive here, but Kerry picks a guy whose main qualification is that he is attractive, then can't keep his hands off his new running mate?  Of course...

...not that there's anything wrong with that.

What are you talking about?  Kerry doesn't need any more carisma than he has already.  The guy is almost recklessly energetic.  He's like a bolt of lightning in a bottle.  Smiley

Touching another man's face is W-E-I-R-D. Period, unless you're gay.

If you hit a guy in the face then you are technically touching him. Does that make anyone who gets into a fist fight gay? Tongue.

Perhaps he's playing for the already alienated 'log cabin republican' vote?

Better than Bush, who recklessly drank bottles of "White Lightning".  How many DWIs does Mr. Kerry have?

1. I was being sarcastic.  Note the smiley.  No one would seriously describe Kerry as recklessly energetic.

2. How many years has it been since GW touched the sauce?

I've no idea.   The damage is done, and cannot be undone.  Ever hear of "Wet Brain"?  Or "Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome"?  That's our Bush!  No wonder he acts so much like Boris Yeltsin.

You mean he threatens to start nuclear wars in Kosovo and dances sloppily onstage with young pop divas?  I had no idea

If your right then I'm surprised Nixon was even able to stand up let alone be president...
