However, we still should expect government officials to tell the truth under oath.  Burger did steal papers but he didn't lie about it under oath.  I'm not overjoyed about seeing either Burger or Libby in jail, largely because of their service and it wasn't a violation of law in regard to a duty in office.

On CNN en Espanol today aired on CNN's The Situation Room, President Bush was being interviewed and said that "A jury of his peers convicted him, and we should respect that conviction."  So, this tells me that no pardon is in the plans.  What do you think Bush meant by that statement?
