Phil Bredesen could beat Lamar, maybe. But our Lt. Governor is a Republican, so he won't run. No one else could beat Alexander .

If Ford couldn't beat a mediocre candidate for an open seat in the worst Republican year since 1974, then he can't beat a respected one-term senator and former governor in 2008.
