Is Lamar Alexander safe? Last year in Tennessee, a black Democrat gave a white Republican a completely unprecedented run for his money. Granted, Corker was a horrible candidate for the Republicans, and always did poorly against Ford in comparison polls. But still, might Ford launch another campaign for the Senate, or might a slightly stronger (white, presumably) Democrat challenge ALexander for his seat? The last time he was elected he only recieved 54% of the vote; not really that impressive in a Republican state like TN.
