White Station High School, Memphis TN 2000: About 60% white, 35% black, 4% asian, 1% latino. Black and white are much closer to being equal there today.

When I was there I remember hearing that my HS was about 20% black. The majority were white, with about 10% either Asian or Hispanic.

As a Senior, I know there was ONE African-American in my high school (grades 9-12). I'm guessing less than 3% either Asian or Hispanic.

I know in my graduating class, we had 2 Asians, and no Hispanics or African Americans out of 111 students.

I'd estimate roughly 60/40 White/Black  The White ratio went up slightly while I was there because one of the two White flight private schools in the area went bankrupt.  It's a shame that of the two, that the one that collapsed did.  Given all the Mexicans that have moved into the area to work in the poultry plants, it would be ironic to have a private school in the area named after James Butler Bonham.

Nassau County is about 10% black, just happened to attend the whitest high school on Long Island.  MY CDP is actually 12% black, but the CDP is split into two school districts, the Massapequa portion which is 95% white, Amityville portion which is roughly 45% white, 40% black 15% hispanic.

My high school was 10-12 with a little over 1500 students when I was a senior, their was one black girl who was a Junior at the time, thats it.
