Who would win (not who would you vote for) in a race between Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton?

Here's the map. He would carry Tennessee and Arkansas, BARELY. This may go into the threat of, "Can a candidate win all 50 states." This is based on 1984.

Clinton v Reagan in 1992 :

Realistically however Reagan wouldn't have run for a third term. He's lucky he was able to finish his second.

Assuming it is a vacant seat and neither of them were connected with the Administration, it might be even.

Here's my personal prediction:

If I figured the electoral vote up right:
Reagan 454
Clinton    84

John save your maps as .PNG it makes it a lot quicker. Also if you go up to Election info at the top of the screen they have maps from every year and you can scan through and make them on this site and post them on the forum.

Click the button near the top that says "Election Info". Then you will see a drag down menu and select whatever year you like. Then you post the picture the way I told you before. Smiley It's pretty easy. Smiley BTW I love Mississippi.

States:

Thanks. I've got all that figured out. I also made a .PNG file on a 4 color map which I obviously had to do off site.

BTW, from my visits, Florida seems quite nice too.

It would be close.  Reagan would win in the end though.  The big battleground would be California.

I think Reagan would win too. Not as big as some said, But I think he would get over 400 EV's.

Analyzing election results for both guys I'd agree that Reagan would probably win, but I score it 344-194.

*The only Southern state Clinton takes is AR.

*CA is a close battleground but Reagan inches it out.

*Reagan shocks many by taking the 'battlegrounds of OH, FL, and MI but Clinton takes PA, WV, WI, and WI.

*Most of the Northeast goes Clinton (except NH).

*Reagan sweeps the Southwest.

if in 1988 Clinton wins  (iran-Contra scandal would have cost reagan a 3rd term against someone like Clinton).  Would have hurt Bush in 88, but Dukakis well was a terrible candidate
