Is it sub-urban?

I'm assuming parts of it are, and parts are just plain urban.

The thing that makes me want to live in Camden is the INSANELY cheap rent prices. I'd save so much money a month living there.

Another great place for that reason is Reading, Pennsylvania.

I'd much rather pay more per month and live in a vibrant place.

1-Camden and Reading are vibrant
2-Expensive, affluent suburbs are not vibrant

Are they?  I was under the impression that Reading was a downtrodden textile mill town whose population decline has only been limited by poorly-paid Hispanic immigrants and exurban sprawl from Philadelphia.

2-Expensive, affluent suburbs are not vibrant

That depends on what kind of vibrancy you are looking for.  There are some expensive, affluent suburbs with healthy arts scenes.

It's good strip clubs and bands play there quite frequently, especially ones on regional tours (usually stop there before or after Philadelphia).

If such a place exists, I have yet to be there.

That doesn't have much to do with my definition of vibrancy.  An area can have entertainment activities and be depressed.  That isn't anywhere near my definition of vibrant, anyway.

If such a place exists, I have yet to be there.

Is this another topic demonstrating your inability to understand subjective preference?  Because, if it is, I'd like to be able to evacuate early.

Great place to live, I mean aside from the fact that have one of the highest murder rates.  Actually, you should probably go move there and take your chances

Camden the city is an urban area...I'm not sure how much Camden county has built up around it.

Camden doesnt have the best reputation, the city had management issues and tends to have high crime...but with Philadelphia becoming the murder capital of America...you dont hear so much about camden anymore.

But Philadelphia is a vibrant place...and so are its suburbs.

No.

I've been there, and it isn't a suburb.

There ought to be a special category for cities like Camden that are much smaller than a nearby big city but are too built-up to be a suburb.

BRTD, have you ever been to Camden? It is scary there. Not a good place to live.

No. But I like cheap housing.

This housing is really cheap, you must love it.  It's in beautiful, picturesque Sudan.

That doesn't have strip clubs, indie record stores or venues or good bars though.

You don't need strip clubs when everyone is barely clothed anyway, do you?

No lapdances.

Also Sudan lacks basic utilities.

Dude, you give them a loaf of bread and you'll get much more than a lapdance.  And since when do you care about utilities?  You're always touting the advantages of housing that is barely standing up.

You wouldn't like Camden.  It's really boring because most people are afraid to be out at night.  It's a crap-hole.

Eh...its got the tweeter center or something like that. It does have some semblance of a night life if you've got the testicular fortitude to go out there. I don't but some people do.

Or you can quickly get into Philly.

But they have plumbing and electricity.

People in urban areas (except homeless) have plumbing and electricity.

And mind you, I'd much rather live in Philly than Camden. But I'd rather live in Camden than any of the suburbs in the area.
