The latest Southern Media & Opinion Research poll finds that, in a hypothetical matchup between former Sen. John Breaux (D) and Rep. Bobby Jindal (R), Breaux trails by almost 30%. Jindal leads 55% to 26.5%.

Interesting, though some caution is needed;
1. The record of this pollster is, to put it mildly, piss-poor.
2. What polls have been done in Louisiana post-Katrina have tended to be even worse.

I'm hoping Jindal wins. I don't want him challenging Landrieu.

On the GOP side, for 2016, look out for Gov. Phill Kline (KS), Gov. Ralph Reed (GA), Gov. JD Hayworth (AZ), Sen. David Vitter (LA), among others.

While I wouldn't rule out the idea that Jindal is leading, I highly doubt it's by 29 points.

Nagel and Jefferson and Blanco has really hurt the Democratic party in LA. Had Mitch Landrieu won and Jefferson tossed out, maybe the Democrats wouldn't been is such an uproar, I think Jindell will win. Landrieu isn't out of the woods yet, especially if Kennedy challenges her.

Good question
Was this poll entirely conducted in Jindal's congressional district or something?
Seems heavily skewed in his favor. He couldn't tie Breaux's boots (and no that is not racist). Breaux is simply of a higher calibre than Jindal. And that's not so much a matter of opinion but a matter of fact

Interesting tid-bit: Nagin once endorsed Jindal over Blanco.
