Lets assume that Watergate doesn't occur (either it isn't discovered or it simply didn't happen), coupled with nothing happening to Agnew, who would stand in 1976? Would Dole and Reagan battle it out under a different climate for the Republican nomination, and what about the Dems? No Carter? What about Birch Bayh or Lloyd Bentsen or the others who threw their hat in the ring. What do you think?
