Virginia is the only thing that strikes me as strange, which Costco won 14-13. Delaware is a tie. None in D.C. Vermont had one Costco and nothing else, while Rhode Island had one Sam's Club and nothing else.

I thought it was mildly interesting but I couldn't really think of anything to say about it.

I really don't get the warehouse clubs. Who wants to drive all the way to the exurbs to spend five dollars on a gallon of mayonnaise?

Hah, that's actually pretty cool. I'd also like to see McDonalds vs. Burger King and Dunkin Donuts vs. Krispy Kreme.

I can't find the numbers for some things. I have McDonalds and Starbucks already. I already looked for Burger King but couldn't find anything.

Wal-Mart vs. Target. Didn't think about K-Mart... But then again there are lot of stores I could probably include, like Kroger and all the chains it owns.

Vegetarian and vegetarian-friendly restaurants/stores per capita. Ranges from one for every 22,000 people in Hawaii to one for every 589,000 people in Mississippi. Red=above American average, blue=below

I'd be surprised if Burger King were bigger than McDonalds anywhere. DD is bigger in the North. We don't have them at all here although they've been talking about opening a store.

I'm betting most of the vegitarian places are in the ski resort areas.

Yellowstone and ski resorts.

I've never even heard of Sam's Club, but I've never shopped at Costco, either.

With even bigger sh**t.

My dad likes shopping at Costco, seriously I could care less if you can get 24 razor blades and 700 pieces of gum for $44.97. Plus I always get depressed at the thought of people shopping in warehouses.

I'm surprised Sam's Club>Costco in Minnesota.  I heard of Costco before I did Sam's Club... but I suppose that might be because Costco has opened a bunch of stores in the 'burbs around here, while Sam's Club is more exurban/rural.

What if you include BJ's in with them?  I think it might beat Sam's in NJ

What's BJ's?

It stands for Berkley and Jensen, I can think of at least like 10 in Northern Jersey and another 10 in Rockland/Orange area of NY
