The artist himself doesn't think that Obama is Jesus.  It's more satirical than anything.

Anyway, I think the idea that the people think that Obama is Jesus is a little overdoing it, but I do think his point is well-taken that Obama has, perhaps, been placed up on a pedestal a bit higher than is deserved due to people not thinking very hard about things.

Bush as antichrist.  Obama as christ.  Funny how the minds works.  anyway, if you're running for president, anything's fair game.  That's just the way it is.  Inhale?  Didn't inhale?  Did you go to mormon school?  Did you go to Muslim School?  Are you the Messiah?  All's fair in politics.  Get used to it.

I'd say Clinton is something of a John the Baptist. Here's hoping McCain doesn't ascend to the throne and demand some heads.

I don't find it offensive personally, and I wonder how others can, given some of Jesus' recent marketing efforts, which include sunglasses and a skateboard, not to mention some other things I've seen.

It's all about self-expression, which I'm cool with in this case, because it doesn't harm anyone.

LOL.  are they really jesus' marketing efforts?  perhaps others are marketing him for their own purposes.

I'm also reminded of the amorous black saint from Madonna's "Like a prayer" video.  Apparently the Church got a little upset about that as well.  Am I the only straight guy in Mississippi who likes Madonna?  I do like that song "Like a Prayer."  And that video.  In fact, I like most of Madonna's songs.  I listen to "The Immaculate Collection" CD in its entirety at least once a month.
