Well I just been playing around for a few days... and made my own states... and this is what i came out with.... PS the little black dot in West Carolina is where i live....

Why is East Louisiana to the West of Louisiana?

Since we we working on this on a different board, may I ask if you had any specific criteria?

By the way, what board is that? I'd be interested in seeing this discussion.

Josh22, I'd like to echo the request for criteria. What are you basing the states on?

If I were doing this, I would start with economic/media market/agricultural regions and geographic features.

Well I took the 2000 county map and put as many democrat counties  or republican counties in the states..

So you're trying to make each state as Republican or Democratic as possible? I'm not sure I follow.
