I don't see the implication.  He's invoking Goodwin's law, yes, and it's a cheap association, but he's saying "indicting Tom Delay is something that someone who killed 6 million Jews would have done," which is different.

I have to offer my apologies.  I read the article like four times, and every single time I drifted over the "it may be six million Jews" part.  Maybe I did because it's a fragment.  Either way, my fault and apologies.

Although I still don't think it's quite a direct comparison - he's comparing destroying people to destroying people.  It's bad, but it's not THAT bad.

As far as I can tell, what he's saying is simply that both involve the idea of destroying people to gain power, not that the two are completely equivalent.

Of course, this is also false, as Hitler killed six million Jews after gaining power, but somehow I don't think that strict allegiance to the facts is (or has been) Tom DeLay's paramount priority.

I might have voted yes, but Tom Delay is a guilty guilty man of doing bad bad things and to write a book about how he's such a great guy when he's totally evil is just silly.
