Number 4 is my favorite. I like the beautiful bird.

But there are some weird ones. Like this one for New Mexico. Thank God it was never a finalist.

What do you like about the gold panner design? I absolutely could not stand it. I thought the other quarter designs had a lot more to do with Alaska.

Alaska would not be what it is today if it wasn't for the gold rush.  As you know, cities sprang up out of nowhere in Alaska and Canada with the massive influx of people searching to strike it rich.

We have both lived there, and I still have a cousin living out there.  She's had 9 years in Hawaii, I've had 6, and my cousin has lived there his entire life (he's half Samoan).  That, and we're both big coin nuts.

I liked 1, 2, and 4.

I voted for 2, though, just because I liked the saying "North to the Future".  I liked the drawing on design 1 the best.
