And it was all a giant government conspiracy.

95 years later, and STILL nobody can find any link between the Titanic sinking and World War I.  I'm telling you, we were fighting the wrong war at the wrong time, and we completely lost our focus on fighting the real enemy in our midst; icebergs.

Seriously though, this was a tragic mistake caused by the complete ineptness of Mr Bruce Ismay whos' decision to push the ship after repeated warnings caused this disaster.

You know, I have always thought, "What if it really wasn't an iceberg? What if the Germans or somebody sunk the thing with a torpedo?"

And, as you all know, I am an odd one so this is understandable.

Yes and now that we're finally winning that war via Global Warming Al Gore wants us to stop! I say we cannot stop to stop melting the icebergs would be like letting the Titanic sink again I say!

1912 - Harriet Quimby becomes the first woman to fly an airplane across the English Channel.

Her grandson "Diamond Joe" later becomes Mayor of Springfield.

Exactly. Except that the icebergs are the goodies in this battle. The people on the Titanic were, admittedly, (mostly) innocent civilian victims - but that's collateral damage for you. Acceptable if it's Serbians or Palestinians, but not if it's Mexican immigrants cleaning windows at the WTC, or poor Irish emigrants locked into the bowels of the Titanic.

My girlfriend is obsesed with the Titanic, so on Sunday we had Titanic Memorial Day. I got her a reproduction of the newspaper of the sinking, she wore all stuff like Rose from the movie, and she ordered a replica Heart of the Ocean. She also spent the weekend learning the lines to the song from the movie, and re-memorizing stats. I dont want to hear anything me about the Titanic.

No, dammit.  There is a link between WWI, WWII, the Rise of Communism and Titanic, but it is a twisted tale of espionage and intrigue, invloving a pretentious German Col named Zeitel
