Hi,

I was wondering how much percentage did Paul McCloskey get in the Iowa caucus against Richard Nixon?

Was McClosky liberal or moderate?  IIRC there was one more liberal candidate and a more conservative than Nixon candidate, but with all the things going on in 1972 neither one made a big splash at the time.

California Represenative Paul McCloskey was a liberal Republican from California who wanted to pull out of Vietnam imediatlely.

Represenative John Ashbrooke was a Conservative. He opposed "Nixon's China Game" and withdrawal and bombing halts in Vietnam.
