With the recent absence of the Chair of the House Administration committee, I was reminded of a very insightful book which sheds light on how Congress actually functions.

The name of the book is, Tribes on the Hill: The United States Congress - Rituals and Realities, by J. McIver Wetherford.

I recommend that everyone peruse this insightful work.
