Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) is trying to "persuade boxer Oscar De La Hoya to move to Nevada and run for Congress," according to the Las Vegas Sun. Reid has also spoken with tennis legend Andre Agassi about possibly running against "Republican incumbent Rep. Jon Porter in Nevada's 3rd Congressional District next year."

"National Democrats consider Porter among the most vulnerable House Republicans in 2008, given his narrow victory over a relatively unknown political newcomer last year."

Seriously, these candidates are ridiculous.  There must be some legitimate candidates they can run in these races.

Does this mean Rory Reid won't run?  I think State House Speaker Richard Perkins would be the best bet.
