casey is just a famous name.  other than that, he is pretty damn weak candidate.

santorum will win, fairly comfortably.

santorum will win.

casey=klink part 2

blackwell will win.

ohio isnt ready for a silly populist.

well i was wrong, obviously.

you are wrong in assuming that every election from here on out will have the same atmosphere as 2006.

And like 2006, Iraq is going to be the main issue in 2008. That doesn't help the GOP. If they let us do what we're trying they could get rid of the issue, but they aren't.

Thing is, those predictions were just absolutely f**king insane. It's not like he predicted Talent or Allen would win. That certainly would've happened in a more neutral year. Santorum and Blackwell never had any chance whatsoever at any point.

Well, let's remember that at this point in 2005, some of us were talking about a GOP super majority in the Senate.

Only complete hacks. That'd require a 5 seat pickup. Show me 5 vulnerable seats (even in a neutral year)

Florida (when we weren't guarenteed Harris), Minnesota (yes, it was being talked about, BRTD, and not just by my party. Remember that Dayton was still in the race in early 2005), New Jersey (Remember points when Kean was up in the polls?) Washington (They were thinking that Dino Rossi would run) and Maryland (In a bad year, Steele was able to get to 44%. Give him a neutral or a good year, you bet a win was possible).

You weren't a complete hack to see those seats flipping to the GOP in a neutral year. Given the candidates that were being recruited, it would have been possible.

Washington (They were thinking that Dino Rossi would run)

They were stupid.  His responses were:  "No," "No," "No," "No," and, um, "No."
