I think it is becoming ridiculous his pandering and foolishness.  He makes Tancredo look a top contender at times, can this man seriously be considered a front-runner anymore?

McCain is definitely a joke candidate. Falwell/Robertson, going to Iraq with tons of backup, coming back and saying things in Iraq are getting better, bomb bomb Iran, etc. etc. etc.

He isn't the frontrunner of course (he never really was). I wouldn't go as far as to consider him a joke though.

If McCain's "pandering and foolishness" makes him a joke candidate, what does that make Romney?

McCain's been a joke since about South Carolina in 2000.

I really wanted McCain to be the nominee. I always liked him, and was hoping he would beat Bush in 2000. But now, I've moved a bit more to Giuliani and Thompson.

No, he's not becoming a joke candidate.  He's just not being the stiff.  However, it's not helping his campaign at the moment either.

Not quite yet, but he's certainly heading in that direction as fast as he can go.

He's heading that way, his "shopping trip" through Baghdad and the "bomb Iran"-joke being examples in point. I used to think he was a shoo-in for the nomination, but not any longer. He still has a very good chance of winning the nomination, but with Romney and Giuliani spending some serious money he has to watch his back.

He's heading that way, but he hasn't quite hit Mitt Romney.

Ever since he came out supporting the surge his support has collasped even among Republican voters, The odd thing I find about this though, Is that alot of social conservatives who I thought would support McCain as the lesser of two evils compared to the more socially liberal Rudy, Have instead been supporting Rudy. So you know there is something wrong when his attempt to suck up to the religious right isn't working.

I wouldn't call him a joke but I'd call him a crusty old man.

No, McCain is not a joke candidate, however, his best chance for the Presidency was 2000, at which time he would have clobbered Gore.

McCain's candidacy at this time, though, is on the downslide, and I don't see him recovering.

I think McCain has no chance of winning the nomination.  I think he knows it, as well os his staff.  He is out there to show the Country what it means to be a hardcore, conservative Republican.

He is becoming a joke.  The only people that still would vote for him, are old voters from 2000/2004.  He is not gaining any new supporters.

watching his stump speech on Campaign 2008 on CSPAN last night, he seemed like a man who was "spent."  The applause from the crowd was noticibly light.  Polite but lacking any enthusiasm.

He appears to be a shell of the former camaigning self.

McCain has as much chance to be the nominee as any other Republican. Certianly not a joke candidate.

McCain is a joke candidate. I saw a speech he made in New Hampshire yesterday, he was saying he liked the current Administration but then said they were doing a bad job of governing Huh (It was something like that). McCain had his time in 2000, but now it will only a matter of time until McCain loses the '08 GOP nomination aswell.
