Rep. Tom Feeney's (R-FL) "controversial golf trip to Scotland in 2003 apparently was paid for by a foundation that Senate investigators described as a 'slush fund' used by disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff," according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Meanwhile, Feeney's name is rising "on the list of seats the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is targeting next year," reports the AP. "While the committee was already looking at challenging Feeney, the Abramoff ties make it more enticing."

Feeney was re-elected 58%-42% in 2006.  Bush won FL-24 55%-45% in 2004 and 53%-47% in 2000.

This is really a swing district.

Hopefully the 2008 candidate isn't best known for accusing Feeney of wanting a vote-rigging machine
