OK first post so be nice all you regulars... Smiley

I have to say i love the layout of the forum, i think its a great site and seems to be not as partisan as other blogs that i have visited.

I am a democrat. Unfortunately from Kansas some may say, although i can assure all Americans that the state is beginning to understand the modern democratic values. I have always felt that the democrats have never been able tocome with a coherant message to the point. In 2006 they achieved this and they have cleverly kept the pressure on the Republicans to a point where democrats can expect more house and senate seat pickups.

Kansas has recently elected a new democrat congressman and re-elected a democratic governor. People have confused this success by claiming Kansas is changing. Kansas isn't changing. Democrats changed. Democrats made the state competitive. For the first time in a long time, my parents can now claim to have a choice on who they vote for. For the first time in a long time, my parents can now be proud to say i voted for someone who is not a republican. I am not saying we are going to have a democratic revolution like they are having Colorado at present. What i'm saying is that with the right message, with the right candidate, with the right attuitude and with the right commitment, democrats can win anywhere nationally.

To my surprise...Howard Dean was right. democrats can win anywhere.

look forward to your comments and debate in the forum.

Hello,

Hmm, Kansas. Republican since 1964 in presidential elections. I think the best result the Democratic candidate can expect next year will be 40%. The Dems got 44% of the US House vote last year. The last time they were above 50% was in 1990. They were equally strong in 1992 when they also got 44%. I have to say that Kansas is really a conservative state. The good thing is your current governor and that you don´t carry out the death penalty. Wink

Who said it is a girl ? Just because it says "female", it doesn´t have to be so. I wanna see a pic of her with "Atlas" written on her bra. Otherwise I just get the impression its a converted Naso or Downwithdaleft operating from Kansas now and I frankly don´t wanna see Naso/Downwithdaleft with an Atlas bra ...
