Seriously, this is just sad. Jfern - do you honestly think that posting a message saying "don't go here" on a blog that appears that has no readers, or at least extremely few, will be effective? Hell, by linking the site you're telling people we exist and you may even be getting us some new users. Sorry, but it's not going to stop people from coming here as anyone with half a brain can see your claims are at best blown out of proportion. Just because this isn't Daily KOS doesn't mean this thread is overly conservative - in fact it's quite balanced. Sure there are shifts in how the forum leans, but overall I come here simply because there are lots of different viewpoints discussed.

Also, if you want to get your account deleted and can't get it done, then just leave the forum and don't login ever again. It's not brain surgery.

You know, I really have no clue as to what really happened and why she left, and I honestly don't care.  Some people cannot handle others disagreeing with them on a continuous basis nor can they put up with "harassment" in any form.  But to throw a tempertantrum over it, calling out to have your account deleted and drawing attention to yourself just makes things worse.  And then to post something like this on your own blog, acting in a way in which you are complaining others did to you?  It's just sad.

Look guys, in the future, if for some reason you are tired of this site and/or you want to leave because you can't take the current tone of others, be smart and just stop logging on.  Don't call for your account to be deleted.  Don't link to this site from your blog.  Don't complain on endless threads.  Just leave.  You will feel better and you will don't ruin your reputation nor that of the site which Dave has provided.  It is that simple.  Be an adult and just walk away.

I like the post from Alcon that she gives as an example of "rudeness" from moderators.  She also gives two examples of "liberal bashing", neither of which are really either bashing nor directed at liberals.

The internet seems to have this magical effect on people that makes them feel as though they are god of their realm and that the world exists to revolve around them.

Then if they don't get that result from something, they spend every waking moment of their lives whining about it, all the while declaring that they don't care.

Indeed, one of my favorite lines used on this board was when Jmfcst turns a couple of Jester's lines (that was some great flying right up until you got shot...never leave your wingman)...against someone...i laughed hard.

As for Texasindy...I never had a problem with her on the forum, dare I say we got along decently, but if that's the evidence she bases her claims on...then the only conclusion that can be supported is that she's hyper-sensitive...at the very least.
