Okay, even though Idaho is a very Conservative state, the races got very close this year and I think that in 2008, the Democrats will capitalize on this. In 2006 the Democrats managed to make the races fairly close.
2008 Close House Elections:
My Prediction:
Larry Grant(again)(D):49%
Bill Sali(R):51%
My Prediction:
2008 Senate Election:
Larry LaRocco(D):41%
Larry Craig(R):59%

Interesting...I'd love to see Sali go down.

Welcome to the site Smiley  You're from Hayden, eh?  Pretty hardcore GOP territory.

Of all of the Idaho races, ID-01 is probably the only one that the Dems would have a chance in.  People forget that Larry LaRocco, who was pretty liberal won the district in 1990 and held it for two terms.

Idaho is becoming more Democratic, because of all the California retirees moving there.

The first district has a chance, because of the white collar workers in Ada and Canyon Counties, and the retirees in Kootenai, but the ID-2 doesn't because its a vassal district of Utah (read=controlled by creepy Normans)

But from where are they coming from? If they're coming from Orange County or so, that just adds to the GOP majority. Plus, Idaho's one of the most red states around. Even LBJ had a pretty tough time winning.

Retirees are, as a rule, always more Democratic-leaning than the area they settle in, whether it be Florida or Idaho.

Well Ada is certainly trending Democratic (but still fairly Republican).
