May 2007 Presidential Prediction
«
on:

The nominees for both parties will be:
Mayor Rudolph Guiliani (R-New York City) vs. Senator Barack Obama (D-Illinois)
The 44th President of the United States will be:
President Barack Obama -- Illinois
Vice President Bill Richardson -- New Mexico
any thoughts?

I doubt it. Giuliani will appeal to more swing voters than Obama would, and having two half-minorities on the ticket won't do much good.

I agree at this moment and I also used this scenario in my first prediction, but it´s completely unknown now, who will win the nomination on either side, given the most recent polls of the early primary states.
We could end up with Clinton vs. Romney, which would alter everything. Or Obama vs. Thompson ...

Right now I'm predicting a Romney nomination and hoping for a Richardson nomination.

I personally doubt Giuliani or McCain will win the nomination.

Giuliani and Obama both are running out of steam, I wouldn't expect either of them to be the nominee of their parties. Giulani is quickly learning that he can't play the "I'm a national hero because I happened to be mayor at the time " card, and Obama is as quickly learning that it's going to take more than audacity and hope to win the nomination, something like substance. I am expecting something like the following:
McCain/Pawlenty vs Edwards/Richardson
Edwards would would win.

Certainly Edwards would win that match up I do think Pawlenty is a worthy VP candidate for any Republican nominee but Im more inclined to predict
F Thompson/M Romney vs Al Gore/B Obama

You've got it right precisely and it will be damned close, but only because of Obama (racist backlash in Ohio, Missouri, Virginia reduced the anti-bush swing Gore would get with a white VP candidate). Still, in that contest Gore would get Ohio+all Kerry states and probably Nevada and Colorado, and win, while losing VA and MO because of Obama.

You were correct about the next President. Congratulations, especially considering that most people (myself included) thought Hillary was going to be the next President in mid-2007.
