What if the Senate Majority Leader and Minority Leader ran for President in each election cycle?  or what about the party leaders?  huh?  What would happen?HuhHuh?

See "America: 2000-2016". Yates didn't finish it, but it was a retty good timeline, and it dealt with the same situation that you're asking.
