The reporting of precincts seems to have slowed down.  We may be nearing or at the point where the outstanding precincts had problems or for whatever reason they won't be in until tomorrow.  The news outlets which report Maine election results sometimes show precincts not reported that no longer exist.  Kentucky's election reporting system seems very professional, however.

It kills me to look at the voter registration numbers...... we have more than 500.000+ more dems and its not likely we will win a senate race. I know they are more conservative but it irks me. Maybe lunsford, who has endorsed McConnell before will run against him. He could appeal to reps I hear because he's conservative.

Race over.  Beshear will be the nominee.  There aren't enough votes left to bring a runoff.

That's it for me tonight.

Beshear could get 0% in the remaining precincts and still top 40% overall, if the average number of Democratic Gubernatorial primary votes were cast in those precincts yet to come in as those which have come in.

So, it will be Fletcher v. Beshear in November.

Beaten again, this time by Sam Spade.  Congrats for making the "official" Atlas announcement, Sam.

Wheeler up by 0.4% in the GOP State Treasurer primary.  That might be callable now this late in the count.

Okay, Napier can't catch up now unless there are close to twice as many votes for precinct in the remaining precints and she won by 100% (or less if the remaining precincts had even more votes per precinct).

Fletcher just about could (with really low numbers in the remaining precincts) fall below 50% in his primary, not that it matters.

State Treasurer and Secretary of State go to a runoff, right?

No, the runoff provision only applies to the Goober/Lt. Goober primaries.  I remember reading that from what seemed like a reliable source.  So there won't be any runoff primary elections for statewide offices in Kentucky unless I'm mistaken.

Northup might have been a good governor.

But

Htmldon didn't suspect the bad campaign she would run.

I like htmldon a lot. But he is bad in election predictions. Him and Waltermitty.

I like how Harrison County is reporting 17 of 16 precincts turnout.

How very Wyoming of it.

There are a lot of freaking counties in Kentucky.  This makes doing maps really slow.

Man, Northup got hammered.  I don't think anyone expected Fletcher to clear 50%.

I want some of the stuff that the Kentucky GOP is smoking. Tongue

It's "Northup", not "Northrup".

I've always just called her "Anne Throw-Up".

Along with Ernie "Hey Bert" Fletcher.

You reversed the Russell County numbers, Alcon (Northup's running mate represents it in the state house, and she won handily).

Oops, rolled my finger over after I pressed T.  Thanks.

I'm also fixing the Russell numbers (that might not be all that was messed up - numbers are still coming in, this is for-fun only Smiley)

The numbers in Marion County are also switched.

Thanks, all.  Wish there was a table.

I like how a few counties are reporting more precincts returned than precincts...quite a few, actually.

Daily Kos is reporting that 146,000 more voters voted in the Democratic primary than the Republican primary. Is this typically the case in Kentucky?

This election means that Anne Northup is finished as a politician.
