http://www.nj.gov/governor/corzinepsaqt.mp4

I thought it was filmed pretty good. However, I would have added crash scene footage.

I haven't seen it yet, but they were discussing it on the radio this morning on the way in.  What better spokes person than Corzine.

I agree with the sentiments he expresses in the PSA about the fact he should be dead

I, for one, am proud of Corzine. He has learned an important lesson about car safety/driving safety, and he knows not all will get that lucky. Im glad he's using his position to help inform others.

Ok, I saw the video.  Not bad, though they should have reshot the last few seconds.  He doesn't look like he is really using the crutches.  They should have used a picture of him just standing there on the crutches overlapping an image of the crash scene.

Somehow I think you exaggerate what problems, if any, New Jersey has.

Was Corzine riding in the front seat or the back?
If he was in the front he was vilolating the NJ seat belt law:

"Applies to all passengers, who are at least 8 years of age but less than 18 years of age, and each driver and front seat passenger of a passenger automobile, operated on a street or highway. All occupants are required to wear a properly adjusted and fastened seat belt system. "
http://www.nj.gov/lps/hts/seatbelts.html

If he was in the back then I guess the legislature and Corzine will just have to change the law to read; "...at least 8 years of age but less than 18 years of age, and  governors who are too dumb to buckle up..."

Well, to be quite honest this move makes me more than a little annoyed.  Immediately following the accident, I was angry and frustrated with the carelessness and sense of being above the law that the men in that vehicle displayed.  Soon after, I became optimistic that this could be a powerful message.  When I heard the reports that on the way from the hospital to the Governor's mansion Corzine's motorcade was travelling at 70mph in a 55mph zone, I was once again angry at the blatant disregard for not only for life, but for New Jersey law RIGHT after an accident caused by the same mistakes.  This is the cherry on top of a big pile of hypocrisy.
NJ trooper motorcades are allowed to decide the appropriate speed, I heard is the law. But yea, it's sort of stupid.

You are correct, but that doesn't make it right. Especially given that there was no emergency at hand.
I know. And what idiot didn't know press would be following.
