It's quite shocking that in 2024 in one of the top 10 most populous democracies in the world that an election can be this uncompetitive.

I think it was an ally of AL a decade ago when AL was in opposition but have since parted ways. With BNP not running it is the only real opposition force.

So increase in number of independents elected.

I think some of the independent winners are AL-backed independents
