The only things I have ever run for were student organization elections and I lost every single one, with the exception of one.  My over-all record is 1-15.

Change your screen name to Harold Stassen immediately!  Wink

Well, I have acctually held office twice.  The one that I acctually won was the President of the Gannon University Campus Conservatives, which I won twice... both times, I was openly running as the lesser of two evils... both times, the organization langiushed under my administration... more so the second time than the first, but that just because my term only lasted a couple months the first time, then I was voted out of office.

The other time was when I ran for Student Council my Junior year od High School.  I won Class Rep because there were three people running and four reps available.  The next year, everyone ran because they wanted to have something to put on their college application and I didn't even come close to winning the #4 spot.  There was acctually a tie and a revote for that spot, I lost by 10 votes in a class of 39 people.

P.S.  I thrive off of long odds, and I usually live up to expectations.

Also, other than the things I won... both of them... the closest thing I have come to winning was President of the Atlas Forum when I lost by one vote to Nym, which represented about 2.5% of the vote at the time.

In Grade 5 for Class Representative in Student Council. Improvised a campaign speech in which I said random bullsh**t (cheaper cafeteria food, longer breaks); got second place.

I'll try to join my next school's student government once in Ottawa.

I won Class president in 11th grade, opposed by only the least liked girl in the school, and I won by a 50-point margin, after a really long campaign with lots of insults. NOBODY likes her.
