How will they do? How would you vote?

"Shall the following Amendments be adopted to the Constitution of Alabama?"
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS WHICH APPLY TO THE STATE AT LARGE

PROPOSED STATEWIDE AMENDMENT NUMBER ONE (1)
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as amended relating to the Capital Improvement Trust Fund to increase the amount of the General Obligation Bonds authorized herein and to provide for competitive bidding of said bonds. (Proposed by Act No. 2007-005)

Well, number 2 is a novel idea, why the hell do you need an amendment to make sure funds are put where they belong?

You remember Gore's lockbox? It was going to stop Congress from pulling money out of the Social Security Trust Fund to waste it elsewhere. But no, everyone had to ridicule him for it instead of seeing it as a good idea.

The difference here is that there was no actual "trust fund" to begin with.

Alabama has the longest state constitution.  I bet both will pass to help maintain their lead over Texas.

Basically, it allows the Governor the right to borrow ALOT of money that he can then give to out-of-State or foreign businesses as bribes to come to the State.

He is supporting TV ads, saying that a vote no will raise taxes & hinder State growth.

Here are the unofficial results according to the Associated Press.

Amendment 1, with 99 percent of the precincts reporting,
188,929 yes (80%)
48,395 no (20%)

Amendment 2, with 99 percent of the precincts reporting,
200,418 yes (84%)
38,755 no (16%)
