Outside AP and Reuters. Also, not inclusing state owned networks like RT or France24.

BBC is a good one and my favorite to go to.  DW while German has lots in English and is another.  Most of the biggest broadcasters overseas tend to be public but unlike in dictatorships they are arms length so they aren't government propaganda arms like RT, CCTV, or Al Jazeera.

As a result of the Israel-Gaza war, I can tell you what sites to stay away from:

Al-Jazeera
BBC
NY Times
ABC Australia
FoxNews

ABC Australia refuse to cover stories on Israel, the terrorist attacks in Russia because Muslim extremists are to blame.

They just cannot tell the truth, so they don't report at all.

So we now have non-reporting.

Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, New York Times

You don't need a subscription to read the headlines and there are often ways of getting paywalled content when you want to read more.

The financial news operations tend to be better at world coverage, because their audience has a reason to care about it. But this is a limited focus, and you will notice that it lacks perspective on certain things.

Semafor is decent second-tier publication that aggregates a lot of coverage from the larger operations.

The television networks (CBS, NBC, ABC) don't have a lot of world coverage, but they do have some, and can be useful for knowing what is reaching a broad audience within the US. For more in-depth coverage, you're better off looking at English-language publications known for their focus on a particular region (e.g. Meduza).

There's lots of independent media focused on various facets of world news, and some of it is good, but it's difficult and time-consuming to separate the wheat from the chaff. It's hard to give recommendations without speaking more specifically.

There is also NPR The World.

The English public news broadcasters (BBC, DW, some CBC, NPR, PBS Newshour) tend to be very good.

Still hard to beat the BBC World Service tbh. Like the rest of their news output it has dumbed down a bit, but nowhere near as much as its domestic stuff has.

I use  cnn en espaņol, various southern Florida spanish language media (which is why I have Florida as SAFE DRUMPF in November), and the relatively few local stations in Colorado in Spanish (which is why I have Colorado as safe Dem in November but a small R swing).

I'd imagine BBC News is the best resource for you.

Der Spiegel Online has an English version.

I wish I could recommend the South China Morning Post but since the change in ownership in 2016, I would avoid it.
