I know you might think I'm stupid for asking this question but a show back in Australia, The Chasers War on Everything sent it's American correspondent into New York City to ask locals when September 11 occur. Boy no ONE got the right answer. The years ranged from 2000-2004 excluding 2001! Then they asked what date it occured, this time one person got it right. An elderly man thought it was September 3! Then they asked what religious background the terrorists were. Most of them thought they were Hindu! And to believe they didn't know what year one of the largest terrorist attacks in history occured.

I'm pretty sure they just edited their footage and kept the dumb responses. After all, if the year 9/11 occurred were such an esoteric fact, the show itself wouldn't exist and people wouldn't find it humorous.

Whilst those chaser skits are hilarious-a personal favourite is when they ask Americans to locate Iraq on a map, and then to locate the USA-which is particularly funny because in their map they re-label Australia as the USA and 'everyone' shows it.

Very funny stuff.

But edited Smiley

The propaganda by the Texan freak was a full success. Look at this:

Newsweek poll: "Even today, more than four years into the war in Iraq, as many as four in ten Americans (41 percent) still believe Saddam Hussein’s regime was directly involved in financing, planning or carrying out the terrorist attacks on 9/11, even though no evidence has surfaced to support a connection.

A majority of Americans were similarly unable to pick Saudi Arabia in a multiple-choice question about the country where most of the 9/11 hijackers were born. Just 43 percent got it right -- and a full 20 percent thought most came from Iraq."

Do you honestly believe that no one would have responded with 2001? Get real.
