Well I was 5 years old at the time and just started school. But, my favourite TV shows weren't  the traditional pre-school/starting school shows , they were Welcome Back Kotter and Unsloved Mysteries. What was your favourite TV show in 1998?

Hmm, back in 1998 I was still living in the house where I grew up, in which we had three TVs.  Of those, I'd have to say that my favorite was the one in the guest bedroom.  Although it was the smallest of the three, I pretty much had it to myself, unlike the biggest one in the family room, and the awkwardly placed one in the kitchen.

I was taken back a minute...you were 5 years old in 1998, which means you were born in 1993...and would make you 14 years old now. Makes sense, I was 15 years old when I began posting...but wow...I count 1998 as "recent", I was 10 years old.

Anyways, my favorite shows were Cheers, Frasier, Becker, Homicide: Life on the Street and Home Improvement.

My favorite TV in 1998 was the one down in the den, it was a big screen 50" TV.  Of course, I usually just watched the one in my bedroom when I got home from school.

I'm trying to remember what I watched in high school, was Buffy out yet?

Ah, the good ole' den. Yeah, I remember the 1997-2000 timeframe of sitting in the big bean bag chairs watching The Weather Channel (I did really start tracking hurricanes until August 2000) and playing Super Nintendo.

At that time (I was 14 that year) I liked my comedies; Father Ted, Red Dwarf etc.

Hmm. In 1998, I started the 6th grade. Around that time Pokemon debuted over here, so I'll vote for that.

Is there a website listing the TV shows from 1998?  I can't really remember what was on back then in that specific year.

Babylon 5 for me as well. I recently rewatched the whole series, and I would still say it's my favourite TV show ever Smiley

Let's see I would have been 6/7 and in a really low grade.  I'll probably say back then it was anything on the Nick at Nite.  Favorite being the Munsters

I would have to say Brimstone was my favorite at the time.  Honorable mentions go to:

3rd Rock from the Sun
Babylon 5
Due South
Fraiser
Hercules
Highlander
Home Improvement
Millennium
NewsRadio
Star Trek Voyager
Stargate SG-1
Xena

Later on in the year, I started watching Becker, and I kept watching it until I realized it sucked.

I also forget to mention I also had 2 other favourite shows back in 1998, they were:

  • The Simpsons and
  • Seinfield

Those were the days before Big Brother and craptacular shows like that.

Boy Meets World and Sabrina the Teenage Witch were my favs as well as numerous other short lived TGIF shows.

My sister was 7-8 years old at the time and all she did was record the TGIF episodes of "Boy Meets World", "Sabrina the Teenage Witch", "You Wish" and others like "Brother's Keeper" and "Two of a Kind". She would put the tape on of the same shows over and over and over.

Those shows bring back the memories of the time between my childhood and my teenage years. Right about 1997-1999. Those years were filled with friends, family vacations, video games, beanie babies, movies, and lots of fun.

My daughter who also was that age at that time called it the "gray show".

This is the only reasonable answer to the question posed thus far.

Nicely done joe.

Dawson's Creek of course. Is there more to life than that?
