Something interesting to note... on the day Kennedy was killed, Nixon was brought on to a news show to reflect on the assasination, and the make-up artist was the same man brought for the debates. While Nixon had his make-up applied, the host said to him "imagine if you had Frannie do your make-up three years ago, you would have won the election".

"Yes", Nixon responded, "and I'd be dead".

I doubt Nixon would have been assassinated. Too many variables would be redefined.
