Please vote either aye, noe or abstain on the following amendment:

Districts do not have to be contiguous, however, there can be no more than one state dividing the states in a district. The difference between the number of registered voters in any two districts shall be no more than three more than the minimum possible difference under constitutional rules. The Governors shall arrange the set-up of the districts, and, with a two-thirds vote, approve the final version. A census of registered voters shall be administered every four months which will determine the districts. Districts shall be numbered, the district with the lowest number of states shall be called district one, and so on up to district five. A new amendment need not be formed in order to change the districts. An up-to-date list of the districts and their respective states within shall always be displayed within this amendment.

This public poll shall remain open till sometime around Midday EST this coming Sunday. I want to get this passed quickly so the Governors can re-district.

If it is at all possible, I'd like to switch my vote to nay.

I don't think we allow vote changes.

Why just out of interest?

I switch my vote because this takes away power from the people by only allowing governors to make the call and prohibits constitutional amendments.

1. How does it prohibit constitutional amendments?

2. It doesn't only allow Governors to make the call, that amendment passed a long time ago.

That is true. I'll withdraw my complaint about governors.

This amendment doesn't revert the conditions of the new amendment back to the original. It only affects the pieces changed from the original constitution.

The poll is what we are actually counting, right?  (Not the posts in the thread)

In any case, my vote is Aye.
