Think what you want of him, but he's a good leader and he's more liked in the party than you might expect from reading ConHome The country set and the urban Tories like me in my local party like him, though for different reasons I may add.

Patronising, pseudo-trendy, cheesy and generally a downright irritating goody-two-shoes. He'll get flattened by the big clunking fist.

That said, he is unique among recent Conservative leaders in understanding why the Tories lost in 1997 and why they have to get back, and appears to be trying to inject some common sense into the 'Stupid Party'.
