Yes. He might as well retire.

Nobody is ever "absolutely finished" in a race because anything can happen.

That sounds like what people said about Santorum.

Anything can happen BRTD, if anyone doesn't believe that they are stupid. It probably means he's finished but as I keep saying, anything can happen.

Which doesn't make it untrue.

I voted Yes.  Of course anything can happen in politics, but it would appear that if Jeanne Shaheen ran again she would beat Sununu by at least 10% and possibly more.  He could be defeated along the Rick Santorum 59%-41% line or something similar.

yeah, yeah, yeah, there are no absolutes this early in a race, but if I were Sununu, I would have sh**t myself when I saw those numbers.  This is shaping up to be another Santorum situation.  Sununu barely won last time, in an election full of electoral fraud, and he isn't a good ideological match with the majority of his state.  And Shaheen is a much, much better candidate than Casey.  I'd be willing to quietly predict that NH is a dem pick-up in 2008.

Yes, only thing that could possibly save him at this point is Shaheen eating live babies on TV.  Sununu is beyond toast.

On this day the obvious answer is yes.  In 12 months the obvious answer could be no.

My answer? No. Since nothing is absolute...

But Sununu is looking awfully screwed...like Santorum before him

He is actually in even worse shape than Santorum was, which is pretty hard to believe.

Its not really that surprising, as New Hampshire is a more pervasively liberal state than Pennsylvania, and the mood in midsummer 2007 is much more anti-Republican than it was in fall of 2006.

I say no, he isn't finished.  There is more than enough time for him to chance things around. Will he win re-election? Probably not, but I think he has time to save himself from getting brutally killed in 08.

Unless he does a complete 180 on all the major issues, I would say yes, he's finished.

Nope.  One poll doesn't make a race.  We're way to far out to be calling a race that will be as tight as NH.  Sununu is an incumbent and he'll have plenty of money for his campaign.  I think he loses at the end of the day but you libs ought to put the Kool Aid away for at least another year.

I voted yes. Sununu is done if Shaheen gets in and may even be as close to half-done as you can get if she doesn't

NH seems to be revolting against the GOP. Sununu needs to be more independent of his party if he's to stand a chance. Of course, that would open up to charges of being a phoney

Poor Sununu seems to be the most vulnerable GOP seat, and NH joins the Dem New England one party regime.

Someone on FR actually had a good line, that the only thing that can save Sununu is if Bush invents a time machine and goes back and uninvades Iraq.

Are you going to go into complete denial about the polls again like you did with Santorum and Blackwell? That was a lot of egg on your face.

If Sununu would be moderate in his views like Gregg he wouldn't be such an endangered species, but any republican seat that we can get would enhance the labor needs of this country.
