Do you have anything intelligent to contribute to this thread, or just more inane drivel?

Are you, yourself, Mitt Romney?

Because this is the most proxy offense I've ever seen taken by someone for light ribbing of a candidate.

That is my choice for his running mate. You asked, I answered. Be glad I at least participated because not many other people will bother to.

Running mate for Romney

Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

Solid conservative credentials, while at the same time does not alienate independents and more conservative Democrats.

Romney has the executive experience, both in business and as Governor of Massachusetts.

Graham has the Washington legislative experience as a U.S. Senator.

Graham would greatly piss off the right wing base as they clearly hate him with a passion.

No, I am not the one who asked, as I did not create this thread.

Please name the taxidermist so Kevin can add this individual to his list for consideration.

You have a strong valid point since Graham's support of the immigration  amnesty has put his once safe politcal career in jeperody.

Any taxidermist will do fine. I can't say I know many personally.

Very good point Winfield. I would have to agree with your statement.

Or if Lindsey Graham and numerous other Republicans decline the 2nd spot on the GOP ticket, as Eraserhead suggested a TAXIDERMIST!

Can't tell you a running mate, but I can say that 1994 Romney would make a very worthy opponent in the debates. Smiley

Condi Rice - Associated with Bush's foreign policy. No.

Mike Huckabee - Good pick.

Tim Pawlenty - I've said a lot on this already. He's not going to deliver Romney Minnesota. I'll just leave it at that.

Mike Rounds - Great idea, someone from a safe state who signed legislation so extremist his own conservative state voted it down!

Mike Pence - Wingnut Congressman? Great!

Bill Owens - This guy is the definition of washed up. Well, if it wasn't for McCain.

Mark Sanford - Not bad, but doesn't do much electorally, see his state.

JC Watts - TOKEN! TOKEN! TOKEN!

Jeb Bush(Maybe) - LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

I believe, and trust, that Eraserhead has taken my remarks in the spirit in which they were given, that of give and take discussion, with some pointed humor thrown in.  My remarks were not meant to offend.

Please Alcon, don't be so defensive.

An interesting choice would be Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee.

Governor of Tennessee 1979-87
Secretary of Education 1991-93
U.S. Senator for Tennessee since 2003

Experienced, solid, and capable.  Voted nay on Immigration Bill, so would not alienate the conservative base.

Has crossover appeal, conservatives, moderates, independents.

That would be suicide nominating Lindsay Grahamnesty.

Alexander would make more sense than just about everyone mentioned in the OP.  I just can't see Romney, a 1 term governor, picking someone like Owens or Rounds, who have absolutely no Washington experience.  Not in an election in which foreign policy is likely to play a big role.

Zombie Reagan.

That's about the only running mate that would help Romney get more than 50 electoral votes.
