It's not that you're a libertarian. You're a social liberal who's largely apathetic on economic issues. To many observers, you have a libertarian streak.

However, you aren't actually a libertarian. People just say that because it pisses you off, ya know.

Those are just fake positions you use to get attention and try to divert us.

By decree of DWTL he doesn't actually support complete wealth redistribution?

I've never thought you've become a libertarian. I just gave you a positive economic score to annoy you.

I could ask the same thing about you and Rick Santorum or Ken Blackwell. Walter, with the type of people you support just because they aren't "silly populists", you shouldn't be going down this road. Especially with your ridiculous, irrational hatred of guns and how despite this you keep supporting the party in the back pocket of the NRA.

I don't think people take most of your positions seriously, let alone believe you've become a libertarian.

You are a fine liberal, which is of course closer to liberty than the confused persons who call themselves 'libertarian'.

Maybe I'm wrong, but perhaps DWDL isn't exactly the best person to classify somebody as a libertarian.  He can't even do it to himself properly.

i dont have a hatred of guns.

i do hate picking up the paper every morning and reading about more young people being shot up.

and most normal republicans support at least basic gun control

You're a libertarian on the small stuff and a fascist on the big stuff.  That makes your ideology very weird, but on average, not libertarian.

I will say this: you are less of a social authoritarian than most liberals.

Not that you should change colors or anything.  I could see why you would want Paul to win the nomination because that way, either party that wins, the Iraq War will end.

Republicans are socially authoriatarian. Liberals just try to regulate public health. ex. smoking bans.

How so? Liberals support the following things:
*Fairness Doctrine (Violation of 1st Amendment)
*Campaign Finance Reform (Violation of 1st Amendment Again)
*Gun Control (Violation of 2nd Amendment)
*Eminent Domain (Violation of 5th Amendment)
*Smoking Bans in Bars (Violation of 5th Amendment Again)
*Affirmative Action (Violation of 14th Amendment)

When did people start saying that BRTD was a libertarian? Have some people lost their minds?

It was DWTL, who also thinks that he's a libertarian.

Well I knew about that, the same way I say that he's going to be a middle manager with a wife and two kids living in a three bedroom McMansion in the suburbs some day. But it sounded like people actually bought this crap.

Well that makes sense. He shouldn't be slinging around large words that he doesn't understand, like libertarian or the.
