How'd you find out? Her wiki page indicates that she died. This is more evidence for the increasing irrelevance of the American media. RIP, Lady Bird.

"Lady Bird Johnson Dies at 94"

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Lady Bird Johnson, the former first lady who championed conservation and worked tenaciously for the political career of her husband, former President Lyndon B. Johnson, died Wednesday, a family spokeswoman said. She was 94.
Lady Bird Johnson returned home late last month after a week at Seton Medical Center, where she'd been admitted for a low-grade fever. Her husband died in 1973.

She died at her Austin home of natural causes about 4:18 p.m. CDT. Elizabeth Christian, the spokeswoman, said she was surrounded by family and friends.

I am pretty sure she has the record as the First Lady who outlived her husband for the most years.

I thank her for the beautification of our highways. Always nice to see flowers and trees along the highway. Smiley

When I was passing through Fredericksburg back in May, I remember an employee at the Nimitz Museum telling me Laby Bird Johnson had stopped by just two weeks earlier. This came as quite a surprise to me, because I had thought she'd already died.

Rest in peace, Mrs. Johnson. Thank you for the Johnson Wildflower Center, and the bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush along the highways.

She had a long life. Great First Lady.

Indeed she was. RIP Lady Bird.

To think she convinced LBJ not to run in 1968....

RIP - A great First Lady who was overshadowed. She did great work.

It's actually her handwriting on the script of Johnson's decision to not contest '68 - Originally it just said "I shall not seek the nomination of my party for another term as your president" - she's written on it "and I will not accept"
