Between 2047 and 2063, the U.S. will split up into Ecotopia (Green), the Republic of Gilead (Blue), and Mega-City One (Red), so this thread is kind of pointless Wink :

EDIT: Since it is ruled by a council of judges, Mega-City One has no popular elections or political parties. The only legal political party allowed in Gilead is the Constitution Party ( Tongue ) and Ecotopia has a two-party system consisting of the Green Party and the Progressive Party. In 2152, the Green Party has held power for the last hundred years, except for a brief period between 2090 and 2095 (think of contemporary Japan Cheesy ).

Ah, and before you ask, the Territory of Alaska, which originally belonged to Gilead, was annexed by Ecotopia in the War of 2078 (with the help of their allies from the Greater Nunavut Confederacy.)

Gilead sounds like a fun place to take a vacation, but not a nice place to live. I can imagine going to a eunuch fighting league tornament being held at the High Priest's Palace.
