Ohio Considers January Primary

The Ohio State Senate is considering a bill that would move the state’s primary up to January 29, 2008, reports the Cincinnati Enquirer.

If the bill is adopted, Ohio, whose primary is currently scheduled for March 4, would share its new primary date in late January with Florida.

Great, more early primaries probably means the nomination going all the way to the convention gets more and more likely.

And if that happens to the republicans, imagine all the fun we could have.

I doubt this will make it through.  Most of the states moving up their primaries are just attempting to get candidates to come there more often.  Ohio isn't really at risk of being ignored.  None of the candidates can afford to ignore us if they want to win.
