Well, out here the winner seems to be whoever can put up the most yard signs.

If that were the case around here, we'd see New Jersey go for Ron Paul and "Jersey Joe" Pennacchio!

Not for elections of that scale, of course. Wink

If Jesse Ventura could be governor of a state, Gporter can at least win something small.  Also, I can't think of a place in America that you can get elected.
Well, I could probably easily be elected mayor of my town in the future, I'll almost certainly get the nomination at some point.  Posting on a forum for fun does not equal real life.  That's another important thing to consider when thinking who is the least electable person.
if your beliefs were to be made known on a scale the size of your prospective constituency, you wouldn't stand a chance.
I have to agree with DWTL on this point. In local elections, one's ideology is rarely the driving factor. Winning at that level is usually a combination of community contact, willingness to meet a wide variety of people, and perhaps a tie to a specific hot-button issue in the community. This is a frequent winning combination for school boards and municipal councils especially since they are often non-partisan elections.
Well, out here the winner seems to be whoever can put up the most yard signs.

Yards signs are a good measure of community contact and door-to-door outreach. That fits in well with my assessment and experience.

Uh...hating other religions and denominations of Christianity makes you devout? Do you pray often (we know you don't attend mass/services)?
Maybe he's baptist. Tongue
No, I'm Lutheran. Though I usually go to a non-denominational church.

I know, I just couldn't resist the chance to make baptists the butt of a cruel joke.

Baptists =/= Southern Baptists, just felt like clearing that one up. When most people think of Baptists as extremists they are really thinking of Southern Baptists.

I love Southern Baptists. I go to the First Baptist Church here sometimes when I want a good, down home message.

Einzige definitely. Most of the Libertarians are rather unelectable anything more than locally, though that is not necessarily through their own fault.

Obviously, muon2 is the most electable. Wink

Probably me.  I'm an atheist, which is worse than a gay or a Muslim, if current polls are correct...

Nothing special about that.

I hope you caught my sarcasm.

In addition to being a baby-eating nonbeliever, I have political views that would instantly have me labeled a fringe candidate.

Problem is, left libertarians are often labeled as fringes, more so than just libertarians.

That's exactly my point.
FallenMorgan, as epic as he may fail in some regions, would still get at least 10x as many votes as someone like me or Einzige would.
